MEMPHIS CRAWL LIVE IN THE CITY OF BROTHERLY LOVE THIS SAT. AUG 4TH AT THE LEGENDARY DOBBS!!!

MEMPHIS CRAWL IS COMING TO PHILLY!!!

As you can see by the title my faithful readers, I am slightly excited on a minimal level of a scale about this upcoming gig. Cancel your weekend plans, because I can literally guarantee that nothing will be better this weekend then The Crawl playing in Philadelphia. Sadly I will be unable to attend this glorious evening of face melting goulash, because I am journeying fourth on a much needed vacation. But this in no way shape or form nullifies my previous guarantee.

This Saturday August 4th Memphis Crawl will be performing at The Legendary Dobbs. It's going to be a great night with non stop killer music, so be sure to stop by and show your support!

All this, and other information about the location of the place, drink specials, directions, etc can be found on the link above. Have a blast for me and enjoy the show!

June Review for Memphis Crawl

June was an amazing month for Memphis Crawl. They played several shows this month, all of which were great. Each one of these performances were better then the last, with a growing fan base, as well as maximizing their exposure on the New York music scene.

Katie's Tavern in Smithtown:

As a native of Smithtown, I was really excited for this show. It was a great atmosphere, and the sound was unbelievable. A small stage almost always works in Memphis Crawl's favor, although the musicians are restricted with space, it allows them to maximize their rocking, as far as I'm concerned, the smaller the stage the better the show. This show was quite the mind blower!

NYC Underground:

This was my 3rd time seeing Memphis Crawl play at this great little bar right in downtown Manhattan. Of course whenever NYC is involved, you know it's going to be a great show. I had the privilege of driving front man, Matty O'Brien, to and from the show, which was quite the enjoyable experience. Drummer Mike Vincenti is without a doubt my favorite drummer to watch perform. Being cramped all the way in the back of the stage, with limited room, and without his own drumming equipment, didn't prevent him from rockin' and rollin' all night long!

89 North in Patchogue:

I've been religiously following Memphis Crawl for about a year now, and last nights show was most certainly their best. This beautiful new venue near the south shore was a much needed addition to the New York music scene. The giant stage and dance floor allowed the band to maximize face melting goodness, and the fans to rock their socks off. The sound at this venue is the closest thing to perfection I've ever heard, was very impressed. Due to the large size of the stage, the band was able to move around a lot and play off of each other. Matty O'Brien would constantly move from stage to floor, to dance with the audience which just fueled his immense energy on stage. This was by far, their best performance I've seen, and after talking with Matty O'Brien this morning, he agreed and said it was his favorite performance as well.

Hope you were able to witness the insanity that is Memphis Crawl, but if not, do not fret! Memphis Crawl has a full summer schedule and will be rocking all summer long. So don't forget to keep checking back for schedule updates. You can also follow Memphis Crawl on Facebook and Twitter.

Memphis Crawl Live TONIGHT at The Brickhouse!

This will surely be a night to remember, because whenever The Crawl plays here it's always a mind blowing experience! Small venue's are the ideal location for a rockin' good time. If you've yet to see Memphis Crawl live, then tonight is your night.

Another important part of this evening's festivities is front man Matty O'Brien's new project called Pure Soul. Tonight was originally supposed to be a one night clothing drive for the homeless of long island. But due to a tremendous turn out, Matty and the rest of the band decided to help the homeless on a more permanent basis.

Pure Soul will continue to collect warm clothing that will be personally handed out by members of the band, and hard core groupies such as myself. So please don't be shy and bring whatever you can. Trust me, there is no donation to small. This is in no way an obligation, so if you are unable to donate, do not let that stop you from enjoying a great night out with awesome live music.

Tonight cover will be $5

Also, if you are unable to make it with your donations tonight, please feel free to leave a comment on this post, and I will be more then happy to come pick up your donations.

Pure Soul

I realize that it has been over a month since my last post, and for the I apologize from the deepest depth of my soul... now that that's out of the way...

Matty O'Brien, front man for one of the greatest bands of all time, and the rest of The Crawl have decided to start up a charity for the local homeless called Pure Soul. Pure Soul will be collecting gently used coats, jackets, hats, gloves, and other various warm clothing, and will be personally handed out to the local homeless on long island by members of the band, and various Memphis Crawl groupies such as myself.

This is a great cause so please help out as much as you can. The main collection of contributions from all you wonderful fans out there will be done just before and directly after Memphis Crawl's live performances. If you are unable to attend any of The Crawl's show's but would still like to donate, please feel free to leave a comment on the blog and I will personally come and pick up your donations.

There are so many people a lot less fortunate then ourselves. No matter how little we have in this trying times, they have a whole lot less, and in some cases nothing. It's cold enough outside this winter, lets not be cold in denying these people their basic need for warmth.

"I basically just started this because Memphis Crawl always has and always will root for the underdog, in words of my friend James Skidmore, 'Love is Action' I think this band is a great forum to spread the word and help people who need it" -Matty O'Brien

"We want nothing in return except to make it a little easier on the people and show them that there are people out there who still care and are rooting for them, and life is not all about money, it's about love!" -Memphis Crawl

So from Matty O'Brien, the rest of Memphis Crawl, and myself (Ben Pollicino) we ask you to please go through your attic, and dressers, or whatever other receptacle you hold your clothes in and help us clothe the homeless! If you don't have anything to donate, there are TONS of thrift stores across long island where you can find clothes for only a couple of dollars.
