Memphis Crawl is a gritty hard rock and roll band led by front man Matty O'Brien, who has the greatest onstage presence since Jim Morrison. O'Brien is to the local underground scene as Tarantino is to film.
With the bands performing at the festival having a 4 song set, by the end of the first song I was craving an eternity. Memphis Crawl kept surprising the audience with musical epicness and blowing our minds. "Ok we got one more for you guys!" was repeated over and over, and 8 songs later they left the stage.

Shortly after their set ended I was introduced to Matty O'Brien and was given an autographed copy of there newly released EP "Falling Down Against The Sun". Needless to say, it's a prized possession that I will cherish forever.
Since the festival, I've kept in contact with Matty "Soulman" O'Brien, talking about my love of Memphis Crawls music, and my experience watching them perform live at The Great South Bay Music Festival. Never have I met someone more in touch with their fans then Memphis Crawl. They are by far the greatest live performance I've ever seen, and trust me when I say you need to see it to believe it.
